ATEC is a subcontractor providing engineering services to Sunhillo Technical Services (STS) on the Enroute and Oceanic Support Services (EOSS) contract vehicle. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) selected STS to provide engineering, maintenance and related support services for the FAA’s National Air Space System under the EOSS contract. Under the EOSS contract, STS and its teammates conduct second-level system maintenance, assist with system restoration, develop and test engineering solutions, conduct engineering studies and analyze alternatives, and manage configuration and documentation. As part of the modernization efforts, ATEC also provides operations and transition support activities for Enroute Automation Modernization (ERAM) systems, which are replacing the legacy computer and backup systems used at 20 FAA air route traffic control centers nationwide. ERAM is the foundation for the Next Generation Air Transportation System, and our employees are at the forefront of its testing and implementation. All NextGen programs, such as System Wide Information Management (SWIM), Data Communications (DataCom), and Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADSB), depend on a successful ERAM deployment. Work under the EOSS contract is performed primarily at the FAA’s William J. Hughes Technical Center, Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
